THE BARN

The heart of Rancho Pillow is an 18th century, three-story Dutch barn originally built in upstate New York, carefully disassembled and moved to its current location. This awe-inspiring building, now stamped with a vintage porcelain sign from the 1940s that reads Rancho Pillow Motel, was masterfully reassembled and made into a truly magical space. Massive hand-hewn timbers of hemlock frame both grand and intimate spaces for dining, dancing, working, playing and connecting.

The barn serves as Rancho Pillow's de facto great room, gathering spot and mess hall. Gracefully balancing old and new, it features a modern kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, including a gas stove and a commercial-grade one-touch espresso machine. Two queen bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and an additional crow's nest queen bedroom, provide comfortable accommodations for guests. And the barn's spacious 700 square-foot porch is a favorite gathering spot throughout the day and evening.
